A Pledge is a non-binding commitment made in good faith. To make it easier for you to complete a pledge, we encourage commitments fulfilled over a three-year period. You may satisfy their commitments through monthly, quarterly, semiannual, or annual installments. Suggested options are below.
Appreciated charitable gifts of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds offer special tax advantages and are a great way to make a significant gift to St. Mary's Parish.
Donors over the age of 70 1/2 can make direct distributions of up to $108,000 annually from individual retirement accounts (IRA) and exclude the amount donated from taxable income. Donors may use this strategy to satisfy part, or all, of their required minimum distribution (RMD). Direct your administrator to send payments as indicated above for checks.
Gifts of property entitle a donor to an income tax reduction equal to the full market value with no tax on capital gains.
These are some of the other types of non-cash assets that can be used as gifts.
You may donate an old or new policy simply by naming St. Mary's Parish as the beneficiary.
This is the process of carefully selecting the best methods and assets for making a charitable gift. A planned gift can enable a donor to take full advantage of the tax laws to accomplish their financial and charitable goals. A bequest in a will is the most common form of planned giving.
A Matching gift program provided through and employer or board membership may allow you to increase the size of your donation. Many companies generously match the charitable gifts of employees, retirees, or board members. Other options include credit card*, bank account draft*, cryptocurrencies**, and oil/mineral interests**. For employer matching contributions, the tax ID number for the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth Advancement Foundation is 27-0518360.
**Please consult your own qualified professional adviser for specific recommendations.

As of May 31, 2026, we had total cash and pledges of $6,538,711. Increase from the end of April of $117. We did see a significant change in the cash on deposit and a reduction in pledges. This shift was due to the receipt of money previously pledged for stained glass windows.
Due to the requirement that all funds must be in cash and cover 100% of the cost of the phase before it can begin we are closely watching that number. As of July 1st, we had total cash on deposit of $6,271,965. That is just $462,035 away from the estimated amount needed for all phases!
We expect the completed construction documents from the architect to be received in October. This goal is our original estimate so the final amount needed will likely change when the final construction documents are received.
Donations are coming in from both pledges and one-time payments and some being turned into the church office while others go through the Advancement Foundation it takes time to get updated reports. Please know we are committed to getting you the information as soon as we have it, so everyone knows the great progress we are making.
We will see a significant increase in cash once the Final Parish Picnic Report is issued and the funds raised are deposited into the Campaign Account.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support of this Capital Campaign. We appreciate all of your donations and are grateful for everyone who is helping to make this Capital Campaign a success. We could not do it without each and every one of you!
